What the job looks like
Each day you'll enjoy a variety of challenges, such as:
- Professional and disciplinary management of a pharmaceutical development laboratory for formulation and process development / optimization, as well as troubleshooting of solid, liquid, and semi-solid dosage forms
- Professional and disciplinary management of the lab
- Formulation and process development/optimization of solid, liquid, and semi-solid dosage forms
- Troubleshooting issues that arise during routine manufacturing or the development process
- Knowledgeable about the current scientific and regulatory environment
- Coordination of building and system service contractors
- Maintenance and progression of the laboratory’s quality systems
- Maintenance of the health and safety program
- Laboratory budgetary responsibilities
What you'll bring to the table
To make the most of this role and truly thrive, you should have:
- Degree in Science, preferably Pharmaceutics, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering or equivalent
- 3 - 5 years experience in Pharmaceutical industries, preferably in areas such as Pharmaceutical Development, Manufacturing or Product Support
- Validation and qualification experience in pharmaceutical industry;
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes.
- Organizational skills, quality focus, time management, teamwork.
- Creation or coordination of technical-analytical and pharmaceutical reports (development, validation, transfer, stability reports, etc.)
- Knowledge of Quality by Design principles and PAT implementation
