Job Description Summary

The Department of Neurology seeks a Clinical Research Coordinator A/B to participate in a grant-funded collaborative research program focused on neurology and genetics. The ideal candidate will have an interest in biomedical research, be enthusiastic and highly motivated to participate in team science, have strong interpersonal skills, and experience in data management and analysis. This position offers the opportunity to participate in an innovative research environment, gain hands-on experience interacting with patients in medical settings, learn about the science of neurology and genetics, contribute to data analysis and research publications. Position responsibilities include the following: (1) Screen, recruit, and consent patients to participate in the research study. (2) Collect clinical data from participants using questionnaires and electronic health records. (3) Collect biospecimens for biobanking. (4) Enter and manage data in research databases. (5) Coordinate research activities with collaborators. (6) Participate in data analysis and preparation of scientific communications as appropriate. (7) Attend research meetings and conferences.

The CRC A would primarily focus on the above job duties as they develop experience. The CRC B would be expected to already have experience in these areas and be able to take on higher level tasks immediately.
