About the Role

As Senior Support Technician, you will provide timely, accurate and on-call systems maintenance, support and enhancements. You will Install and upgrade software and hardware, monitor and troubleshoot system performance and develop and run related automation scripts and reporting tools.
 

What You’ll Do

  • Provide end-user technical support and troubleshooting

  • Isolate system issues resolving a variety of technical issues encountered in system architecture and infrastructure

  • Work on semi-routine hardware and software issues

  • Assist in the implementation of systems and the determination of future systems migration efforts

  • Install, upgrade and support infrastructure software and hardware for applications, systems and helpdesk groups and recommend and schedule repairs

  • Develop and maintain script tools, batch files and testing equipment

  • Participate in the planning and implementation of back-ups, disaster recovery, and security actions

  • Assess and implement assigned new hardware and software components and subsystems

  • Research and define the advantages and disadvantages of selected technologies for integration into existing systems and identifies process efficiency improvements for optimizing performance

  • Additional tasks may be assigned

What Skills You Have

Required

  • 2+ years of experience in the performance of operational tasks

Preferred

  • Associate’s Degree in MIS, Computer Science or a related field

  • Retail and/or large-scale distribution center experience

  • Ability to plan, prioritize and monitor activities across business units

  • Ability to complete or oversee the completion of assigned projects in a timely manner

  • Perform work in accordance with the Physical/Cognitive Requirements section

Physical/Cognitive Requirements 

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

  • Ability to navigate stairways in an industrial facility

  • Provide after-hours support as required
