About the role:
The Senior Manager, Alpha-1 Patient & Digital Marketing Lead role is a great opportunity to shape and enhance Takeda's Patient engagement and digital strategy/execution across the Alpha-1 portfolio. Alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency is a rare, genetic disease affecting the liver and/or lungs with a prevalence of ~100k patients in the U.S. Unfortunately, as with many rare diseases, it is estimated that only a small fraction of patients with Alpha-1 are currently diagnosed. You will lead the creation and execution efforts to help improve Takeda's brands and disease state education for individuals living with A-1 – ranging from improved diagnosis efforts to specific branding strategies. You will report to the Director, Alpha 1 Marketing Lead.
You will work in a dynamic, patient focused, fast-paced and intense matrix environment with both internal and external partners. To be successful in this role, you have strong leadership, communication, coordination, learning agility, analytical, organizational and team management skills. Experience working in pharmaceutical industry and/or rare disease environments is preferred. Appreciation for detail, high emotional intelligence, and ability to execute strategies under tight timelines are other critical skills.
How you will contribute:
Lead the development of the digital marketing strategy for the Alpha-1 product portfolio and unbranded initiatives – including patient and HCP non-personal promotion.
Additionally, lead the develop of all patient personal/sales related marketing tactics
Establish best practices and digital standards for Alpha-1 product portfolio
Help develop the annual portfolio business plan – including strategy/tactics for 2 portfolio brands – and champion engagement of portfolio brands with cross-functional partners.
Lead all digital marketing/communications for Alpha I portfolio and unbranded activities – CRM, digital sales tactics, websites, SEM/SEO, digital media – regularly reviewing metrics to optimize the brand's exposure and investment.
Develop and launch new social media strategy and related tactics for Alpha-1, a first within the portfolio.
Support data centralization initiative to standardize campaign reporting/KPIs across PDT business unit.
Manage the promotional review team (PRT) process for Alpha I portfolio and unbranded tactics.
Ensure all resources and initiatives are in alignment with Takeda Compliance, Legal and Regulatory requirements.
Work cross-functionally within a highly matrixed environment and communicates effectively with internal stakeholders including: Sales, Patient Services, Medical, Regulatory, Legal/Compliance, Business Insights and Competitive Intelligence and Communications.
Support brand strategy development in partnership with Alpha-1 Marketing leads.
Manage relationship with agency partners, holding them accountable to Takeda standards, timelines, and budgets.
Manage budgets effectively, ensuring guidance and timelines set by Finance and Leadership are followed.
Assist with onboarding of new team members and fosters a positive culture within the team and with cross-functional colleagues.
Manages several projects simultaneously with all required necessities and maintains autonomy in key decision-making.
Comfortable driving innovation and challenging the status quo while also setting up new workflows and processes to implement change.
