As a key resource within the CIN regional Supply Chain organization, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of material planning and inventory management focused on own manufactured products for the Geismar Diols and Derivatives (CIB) Plants.  We are seeking someone like you, a self-starter who can effectively manage several high-profile products concurrently.  You will work with several internal functions, including Global and Regional Supply Chain, Marketing, Sales, Manufacturing, Controlling, Customer Care, and Procurement.

 

As a Sr. Supply Chain Planner, you create chemistry by...

 

• Leveraging your educational background and professional experience in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, Operations, or a related field, you will analyze and plan production requirements through use of your understanding of operational capabilities, known demand, and inventory targets.
• Successfully engaging across the organization, you will collaborate with Operations/Technology, Marketing, Quality/Regulatory, Customer Care, Global Supply Chain, and 3rd party logistics/tolling operations to monitor orders, storage capacities, stock status, and SAP exceptions, ensuring that products are available to support customer requirements.
• Your knowledge in material planning processes will be a valued asset as you schedule production, coordinate with the Raw Material planner, and understand storage capabilities to ensure that planned production will not be constrained.
• Demonstrating your planning experience and strong customer focus, you will manage production planning in a highly integrated and dynamic environment, which will include finite planning and scheduling, capacity balancing, and inventory management as part of a global supply chain network in order to meet customer and business requirements.
• Your superior analytical skills, combined with your thorough knowledge of current SCM concepts, will be a valued asset as you define and participate in projects targeted to specific opportunities in SCM. 
• Driving strategic decisions for the business, you will analyze trends in key metrics to identify and execute opportunities to improve supply chain and operations efficiencies.
• Using your knowledge and experience in SAP, you will manage and use planning data in OMP and SAP. 
• You will facilitate and run a weekly production call which includes Operations, Supply Chain and Commercial Teams. Through this process you will use your outstanding communication skills to keep Operations and Technical functions informed of inventory levels and points of interest / concern looking forward.  Likewise, you will be a key participant in the Sales & Operations Planning process representing Plant supply chain planning and support the monthly S&OP meeting through data development, review and presentation.
