About the role

Job Summary:
We are seeking a seasoned and visionary Chief Agile Scrum Master to lead and scale agile practices across our organization. This senior role is pivotal in driving agile transformations, coaching teams, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The ideal candidate is an expert in Agile methodologies, Scrum frameworks, and servant leadership principles, with a proven track record of successfully guiding teams and organizations through complex projects and enterprise-level agile transformations. This position requires an active Secret clearance or higher.

Responsibilities:

  • Agile Leadership and Strategy:
  • Define and implement the agile strategy and framework at the enterprise level, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Act as a champion for Agile principles, values, and best practices across teams, programs, and departments.
  • Establish, monitor, and refine key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure Agile adoption and success.
  • Scrum Master Coaching and Mentorship:
  • Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and Agile teams to enhance their understanding and execution of Scrum and other Agile methodologies.
  • Facilitate the resolution of cross-team dependencies and impediments.
  • Promote a culture of servant leadership, empowering teams to take ownership of deliverables and processes.
  • Facilitation and Continuous Improvement:
  • Facilitate high-level planning events such as Program Increment (PI) Planning, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives, and Daily Stand-ups when necessary.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement at team, program, and organizational levels.
  • Drive continuous delivery and DevOps practices in collaboration with technical leaders.
  • Stakeholder Management:
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align on project priorities, goals, and timelines.
  • Serve as a liaison between Agile teams and stakeholders, ensuring transparency and effective communication of progress, risks, and issues.
  • Manage expectations of multiple stakeholders while maintaining focus on Agile principles.
  • Agile Transformation:
  • Lead the Agile transformation journey, enabling the organization to scale Agile practices effectively across multiple teams and geographies.
  • Promote the adoption of tools and frameworks such as SAFe, LeSS, or Disciplined Agile, as appropriate.
  • Develop and deliver workshops, training, and Agile maturity assessments.
