Position: Senior Microsoft Infrastructure Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • Design, deploy, and manage Microsoft infrastructure across on-premises, hybrid, and Azure cloud environments, considering security, performance, and cost-effectiveness.

  • Migrate workloads between on-premises, hybrid, and Azure environments as needed, ensuring optimal placement and security.

  • Troubleshoot complex issues within the Microsoft infrastructure, leveraging expertise in Windows Server and VMware ESXi.

  • Implement and maintain EntraID (formerly Azure Active Directory) as the central identity and access management solution, striving for a cohesive and secure environment.

  • Partner with the security team to implement and enforce security best practices for all Microsoft products and services.

  • Utilize automation tools like PowerShell to streamline routine tasks and improve operational efficiency.

  • Collaborate with the End Point Engineer to manage and deploy Windows desktops and applications using InTune, Group Policy, and SCCM.

  • Proactively monitor the Microsoft infrastructure for potential issues, leveraging tools and dashboards to identify and address problems before they impact users.

  • Assist with backup and recovery procedures for on-premises Microsoft systems.

  • Maintain a deep understanding of core Microsoft technologies including EntraID, InTune, Office 365 suite, Windows Defender, SharePoint, and SQL Server.

  • Stay up-to-date on emerging Microsoft technologies and industry best practices budget. 

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in designing, deploying, and managing Microsoft infrastructure.

  • Experience working in hybrid and cloud environments (Azure) is a plus.

  • Strong understanding of Active Directory concepts and experience with EntraID is required.

  • In-depth knowledge of Windows Server administration and troubleshooting.

  • Experience with VMware ESXi environment is a plus.

  • Proven ability to implement and maintain security best practices for Microsoft products.

  • Working knowledge of PowerShell scripting for automation is preferred.

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is:

$80,165.54-137,315.36 USD
