Manager (Maintenance)

.Job Summary: 

DENSO is looking for a Production Maintenance Manager for their Battle Creek, MI location. The Production Maintenance Manager is responsible for managing a Plant Engineering department of 30+ associates to achieve our KPI’s. 

Core Hours:  7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Safety – Find opportunities to improve and sustain by maintaining and improving current systems. 
• Quality – monitor, develop, improve as necessary teams quality of work (craftsmanship)  
• Support the Operations team to make Production Ratio goals through cross functional  work
• Kaizen – Continue to improve machine performance by utilizing downtime analysis   
• Participate in Continual Improvement activities with Cross Functional Teams
• Cost Management – Manage and achieve expense budgets 
• Adhere to customer requirements, Business Operating System and company policies
• Manage projects from inception through completion 
• Develop maintenance associates through individual training plans in Technical and Leadership areas. 
• Complete correspondence, forms and reports using personal computer and applicable software (excel & ppt)
• Demonstrate the TRUE NORTH VALUES, and Denso Spirit as a Leader
• Leadership support of a 24x7 manufacturing environment
• Conflict Resolution
• Creative people problem solving with a High Demand, Low supply workforce
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• Associates degree with 4 years of leadership experience with a skilled trades team in a manufacturing environment OR Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of leadership experience with a skilled trades team in a manufacturing environment OR 6 plus years of automotive manufacturing leadership experience displaying skills leading and solving technical machine related problems with a cross functional team in lieu of a degree.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Skilled Trades Certificate, or 8+ years of production maintenance experience. 
• College Diploma or University degree in a technical area
• Project Manager in an industrial work environment
• Automotive Manufacturing experience 4 plus years    

Salary: $111,900-$167,900
