About the role

Work Schedule

This is a full-time, 40 hours per week position scheduled to work Monday through Friday, with core hours between the hours of 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM plus an afterhours on-call rotation. Applicants hired into this position can work hybrid from WI and IL. This will be discussed during the interview process. 

The Applications Analyst – Ancillary Specialties position represents an opportunity to work as a member of our Information System team within our newly formed “support pod” whose focus is clinical ancillary application support for our Pharmacy, Rehab & Physical Therapy, and GI & Urology service departments, among others. This position will allow you to work with some of most talented medical professionals in the industry and provide you an opportunity work with a group of people that are dedicated to improving patient care. 

We are seeking an IS Applications Analyst - Ancillary Specialties:

  • Looking for an individual with passion for driving new innovation, and desire to implement a variety of state-of-the-art patient care technologies relative to the current support area roadmaps.
  • Some of the systems currently supported are Omnicell, Provation MD, Alaris, Dynacad Urology, and many other applications across departments that are used to provide remarkable patient care.
  • Qualified candidates would be comfortable discussing and offering IS advice to departmental leadership in the speciality areas they are responsible for, and work hand in hand with other IS analysts who support systems in the department.
  • Candidates must have excellent communication skills in sharing information with users within the department and organization.  
  • Experience writing technical documentation a real plus in this role.

Education:

Minimum –

  • Associate degree in Healthcare, Information Technology, Business, Health Administration, Engineering, or related field
  • Two (2) years of relevant experience and education may be considered in lieu of degree

Preferred – Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Healthcare, Information Technology, Business, Health Administration, Engineering, or related field

Work Experience:

Minimum –

  • Demonstrated success in design, development, configuration, support, and adoption of small to medium to scale solutions.
  • Demonstrated success applying critical thinking to identify problems and opportunities.
  • Demonstrated success teaching and mentoring.

Preferred –

  • Demonstrated success using, configuring, developing, or supporting the applications, tools, and platforms relevant to the position.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years progressively responsible experience in an IS applications field.
  • Demonstrated success working on or leading initiatives that use agile methods.
  • Experience in information services or technology, direct clinical care, health care operations, or health care administration.
  • Healthcare subject matter expertise including at least two (2) years of experience in a health system, academic medical center, or health payer organization.
  • Experience supporting systems and/or operations in a 24x7 healthcare setting

Licenses and Certifications:

Minimum – None

Preferred –

  • Vendor (e.g. Epic, Oracle, other) certifications as relevant for the position , per department guidelines
  • CPHIMS, PMP, ITIL
