Senior Project Controller

Potelco, Inc seeks a great Senior Project Controller to join the team in Sumner, WA, supporting our teams and projects throughout the Pacific Northwest.
The pay for this role is a range of $165,000-$190,000.
What You'll Do
Financial Oversight & Cost Control
- Monitor and analyze project budgets from inception to completion.
- Lead cost control activities, including forecasting, variance tracking, and cost trend analysis.
- Serve as the SME for EcoSys, the company's forecasting tool, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project and corporate requirements.
- Provide financial and cost-benefit analyses to support executive decision-making on investments, market growth, and pricing strategies.
Project Management & Integration Leadership
- Support integration between the Project Managers and accounting.
- Represent Potelco in interactions with internal and external stakeholders, including Potelco’s parent company Quanta.
- Teach, train, and mentor Project Managers on forecasting, cost tracking, and cost controls.
- Assist Project Managers in the setup of project schedules with logic ties, resource loading, critical path analysis, and cash flow.
- Assist Project Managers with maintain project schedules and monitoring milestone progress.
Performance & Risk Management
- Develop and track KPIs to improve performance, productivity, and cost efficiency.
- Assist with the development of corrective action plans for underperforming projects.
- Support change management and risk management systems, including upstream and downstream contract modifications.
- Ensure transparency in reporting changes, drivers, and corrective measures.
Compliance & Documentation
- Implement and maintain project-specific document control procedures.
- Oversee project inventory management systems compliance.
- Support internal and external audits.
What You'll Bring
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- 5+ years of progressive experience in project controls, cost management, or financial oversight within large-scale infrastructure, utility, or construction projects.
- Proven track record managing multimillion-dollar project budgets from inception to closeout.
- Advanced proficiency in cost control tools, with deep experience in EcoSys or similar enterprise forecasting software.
- Strong scheduling skills
- Skilled in integrating project controls with accounting systems and company standards.
- Experience leading the rollout of initiatives, training project teams, and ensuring compliance with corporate and industry standards.
- Proven ability to represent project controls in cross-functional meetings with executives, clients, and external partners.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and resolve complex project issues.
