Cook - The Crossings - Aria

We are seeking a dedicated Cook for The Crossings, our employee dining room at Aria. In this role, you will use your culinary skills to prepare and serve high-quality meals to our staff daily, ensuring an excellent dining experience for our valued team members. THE JOB:

As a Cook at The Crossings, you will be responsible for setting the stage for an excellent dining experience for our employees by using your culinary techniques and providing high-quality food. You will cook all the meals served to employees on a daily basis.

THE STARTING RATE: $24.6173/hr

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Maintain solid knowledge of food products and skillfully apply culinary techniques.

• Identify and safely use kitchen equipment.

• Restock kitchen supplies and food items required for service.

• Properly label and date products to ensure safekeeping and sanitation.

• Maintain solid menu knowledge and attention to detail with plate presentation.

• Assist kitchen leadership and staff in execution of service.

• Maintain solid knowledge, understanding and preparation of base sauces, stocks, and soups.

• Work as a team, assist all guests needs and inquiries.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Prior experience as a cook at a similar high-volume dining environment.

• Is comfortable in a restaurant kitchen and with the use of culinary tools, equipment, and techniques.

• Takes pride in their work, provides a safe environment, and maintains health standards.

• Describes themselves as detail oriented.

• Looks forward to working with a team to provide positive experiences.

• Enjoys helping others and likes to make a good impression.

• Can handle multiple tasks at one time.

• Flexible to work various hours/shifts as needed per on call requirements.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.

• Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays.
