Location: Chase Field Phoenix, AZ

Schedule: No two weeks look the same at Chase Field and that’s part of the excitement! We support MLB games, concerts, and special events, this position requires flexibility. You can expect a mix of evenings, weekends, holidays, and event driven shifts throughout the year.

Job Summary

As the Facilities Manager at Chase Field, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of all facilities within the Stadium.

  • Cleans and maintains concessions stand equipment, including but not limited to ovens, grills, fryers, refrigerators, and beverage dispensers.
  • Performs repairs to equipment, fixtures, and furniture
  • Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilating, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Moves furniture, equipment, and supplies.
  • Communicates managers and teams about the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems.
  • Submit requests for supplies and equipment for cleaning and maintenance.
  • Monitor, address, and/or escalate any plumbing, electrical, or other issues that arise to Director of Operations.
  • Assist in setup and breakdown of equipment and fixtures for events and games.
  • Maintains inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment, and coordinate ordering as needed.
  • Follow safety and sanitation protocols and regulations to ensure a secure and safe working environment for self and team members.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and technologies in relation to stadium facilities maintenance, propose solutions for continued improvement to Director of Operations.
  • Experience with local HVAC codes; follows manufacturer guidelines and stays up to date with industry standards.   
  • Reading and interpreting wiring diagrams; interpret various technical data, such as pressure and temperature.
  • Understanding of refrigeration cycles.
  • Performs routine HVAC maintenance; Conducts inspections and preventative maintenance including replacing parts, ensuring optimal performance, and troubleshooting issues.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Successful completion of a four-year apprenticeship program in an approved HVAC, maintenance or equivalent program preferred.  
  • Previous experience in facilities maintenance within a stadium or similar large-scale venue preferred
  • Previous experience and knowledge of electrical and plumbing
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, troubleshooting and repairs; familiarity with culinary equipment and food service operations.
  • Event based scheduling, flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Physical Demands

  • Frequent lifting and transporting up to 60 lbs.
  • Frequent bending, stooping, reaching.
  • Physical stamina and dexterity to perform tasks that may involve lifting, climbing, and operating machinery.
  • Frequent and/or constant standing and walking.
  • Environmental exposure includes dust, chemicals, allergens, outdoor weather elements, HVAC, potential electrical hazards associated with stadium environment.
