Job Summary

Job Description

This position manages the PJM, MISO, and Northeast cash month commodity exposure of the Energy Supply Book.This position will also manage the Energy Supply Book participation in default service auctions

Key Roles & Responsibilities

·Leverage internal and external weather forecasts, load forecasting models, and market insights to optimize accuracy of Vistra’s short term load forecast in PJM, MISO, and the Northeast·Create strategies and execute trades in the DAM, balday, next day, weekly, and balmo markets·Work with Price Desk to develop default service auction bids that appropriately cover risk and add margin to the Energy Supply Book, and manage Vistra’s participation in those auctions

Education, Experience, & Skill Requirements•5+ years of relevant experience•3+ years in commercial or commercial adjacent role•High school diploma or equivalent•Experience gained through college degree programs and/or certifications is applicable to above skills

Key Metrics

•Maintain position at approved hedge levels•Add incremental value and reduce excess risk through cash month trading•Capture additional margin through default service auctions
