Lab Technician – Peptide Drug Discovery Lab

We are seeking a highly motivated Lab Technician to join our dynamic research team focused on peptide drug discovery. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in chemistry or biochemistry and a genuine interest in chemical biology work.

The Associate Researcher is an entry laboratory research position, responsible for conduct of routine and standardized experiments using techniques specific to the assigned research project under the supervision of the Principal Investigator or a senior researcher. This individual assists in the interpretation of research outcomes and may be responsible for lab and clerical support. S/he analyzes and assists in interpreting research outcomes.

  • Execute and support experiments involving liquid chromatography (LC) and related analytical methods.
  • Follow established assay protocols and assist in assay development and optimization.
  • Prepare buffers, reagents, and samples accurately and safely.
  • Maintain detailed experimental records (ELN or lab notebook).
  • Ensure lab hygiene, organization, and safety compliance.
  • Learn and operate new instruments, software tools, and workflows.
  • Bachelors degree in science or related field preferred, or combination of relevant research experience and education
  • 0-2 years of research/laboratory experience

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with liquid chromatography (LC) techniques.
  • Basic understanding of organic chemistry and biochemistry.
  • Comfortable handling organic solvents and reagents safely.
  • Strong grasp of stoichiometry and buffer preparation.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow detailed protocols and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Eagerness to learn assay optimization, data interpretation, and troubleshooting.
  • Dependable, detail-oriented, and proactive in maintaining lab operations.
