Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized survey project manager to join our team in the civil engineering industry. As a survey project manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of survey projects from start to finish. This includes managing the survey team, coordinating with clients and stakeholders, ensuring project timelines and budgets are met, and delivering high-quality results. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in surveying, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of successfully managing complex survey projects.

Our Lafayette Office has a long history of providing exceptional solutions to traditional and historic bridge design, city and county roadway and streetscapes, and public work projects for local cities, counties, and universities.

A Typical Day May Include

• Lead the survey team, providing guidance and support throughout each stage of the project.
• Coordinate with clients and stakeholders to understand their survey requirements and ensure their needs are met.
• Develop and maintain project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Conduct field surveys, utilizing advanced surveying techniques and equipment.
• Analyze survey data and prepare reports for clients, providing them with accurate and timely information.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
• Provide technical support and expertise to the survey team, resolving any issues or challenges that arise during projects.

Requirements

 What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in surveying, civil engineering, or a related field.
• Professional licensure in surveying or civil engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in surveying, with at least 2 years in a project management role.
• Strong knowledge of surveying principles, techniques, and equipment.
• Proficient in surveying software and technologies, such as AutoCAD and GPS.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively manage a team and interact with clients and stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with the capacity to analyze complex data and develop innovative solutions.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines.
