Regional Director of Security (Santa Fe)

Description

Position Purpose:  The Regional Director of Security will under the direction of the Chief of Security, and will maintain the quality and safety of all property’s under their region. The Regional Director of Security is an essential support to Heritage Hotels & Resorts in creating unforgettable, safe, experiences for guests. 

Supervisory Responsibilities: All Security team members on property

Essential Duties and Functions/Responsibilities/Tasks:

• Maintain high level of positive and professional approach with employees, coworkers, and guests.
• Oversee / Carry out all special projects for the security region.
• Meet with the General Mangers regularly to ensure teams are operating properly. 
• Communicate regularly with property staff regarding job assignments and required timeframe for proper workflow on facilities projects throughout Heritage system.
• Communicate effectively with the Chief of Security to ensure all high level issues are handled in a timely manner.
• Oversee a team of supervisors at each property including security directors.
• Ensure all reporting parties follow all safety, sanitation, and health regulations policies.
• Preform interview, hire, disciplinary, and termination actions when necessary for staff.
• Assign, train, mentor and direct staff to carry out the exceptional guest experience and foster an environment for employees to be successful in performance, and further feel engaged and valued.
• Ensure regional compliance with safety, legal, operations, labor, and the Heritage brand product and service standards.
• Review written reports and activity summaries of Security Officers for completeness and accuracy.
• Provide direction to assigned shift by assisting on calls for service.
• Resourcefully solve any issues that arise and seize control of any problematic situation.
• Address all major complaints from guests / debriefs with team members in person whenever possible.
• Keep the President and any leadership at property abreast of any concerns, major incidents, or possible future concerns when it comes to security and safety of guests or team members.
• Review occupancy and event levels and staff labor accordingly.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of security software and MS Office required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and ability to multitask.
• Proven leadership experience in a multi-hotel setting.
• Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays and late nights.
• Ability to work on your feet for eight hours or more.
• Must be able to lift/push/reach for/carry 30+ pounds occasionally.
• Minimum of 5 year or equivalent combination of education and experience; security management, law enforcement, or hospitality experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree of equivalent of education, management degree preferred.
• CPR Certification & Driver’s License Required, Alcohol Servers License preferred.
