Part-Time Interior Maintenance Technician

Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):  

1. Exceed clients expectations by providing professional, courteous and efficient service at all times.  

1. Manage assigned client accounts and daily route effectively. 

1. Responsible for providing excellent care and service to client accounts by: 

• Grooming and trimming plants  

• Probing soil for appropriate moisture levels 

• Cleaning plants with a duster, hand washing and/or spraying as needed. 

• Keep track of tools on job site 

• Write up special services as needed, so they can be scheduled (large tree trimming, pesticide application, after hour cleaning request, large plant material transplanting and replacements.) 

1. Must be able to drive in downtown urban areas.   

1. Work vehicle maintenance: 

• Maintain clean vehicle at all times, ensuring interior and exterior cleanliness.  

• Remove personal items from vehicles daily (lunchboxes, cell phones, garbage, etc.). 

• Adhere to Company maintenance inspection policy. 

• Report any and all accidents (regardless of nature and severity) immediately. 

1. Identify plant replacements, create replacement tickets and install small replacement plants and flowers as needed. 

1. Ensure work sites are restored to original condition, or better if necessary upon departure, ensuring no dirt, moss or debris is left behind upon completion of service. 

1. Cultivate and maintain positive client relationships, including relationships with managers and co-workers.  

1. Maintain a positive, solution-oriented approach to service while communicating with our customers. 

1. Project a good company image to our customers and the general public at all times. 

• Ensure a professional appearance, good hygiene and a clean uniform 

• Use proper horticultural references. 

1. Understand and uphold Interior Service Department Quality Standards. 

1. Must be able to identify common tropical plants. 

1. Continue own education by staying informed of industry trends, learning new skills and asking questions when appropriate. 

1. Is flexible and understands the importance of cooperation and teamwork. 

1. Use time management and organizational skills to prioritize and plan work for the day/week. 

1. Report problems and/or concerns with equipment and tools immediately. 

1. Advise manager/s in a timely manner if additional assistance is needed so that it can be arranged. 

1. Drive safely! Respect the legal speed limits as posted. 

1. Ensure working hours, including overtime, have been recorded accurately and truthfully for each time period worked. 

1. Participate in company LEAN activities and maintain areas as assigned. 

1. Monitor salesforce, emails, and phone messages throughout workday and respond in a timely manner, always following the company Sunset Rule for internal and external communications.  

1. Update and utilize Salesforce in daily work, keeping accurate and up-to-date records on all accounts.
