The Boeing CompanyBoeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) has an exciting opportunity for a First-Line Product & Services Quality Manager (Level K) to join the Everett Core Quality Team in Everett, WA. This position is available for 2nd or 3rd shift.
The First-Line Product & Services Quality Manager will manage multiple teams including but not limited to Tooling Quality, CAD/CAM, MRSA Quality, Quality Planning, Quality Records and Process Monitoring.
In this role, the ideal candidate is expected to be a reliable professional, skilled in collaborating and working across diverse groups and organizational boundaries. They must be a problem solver who relies heavily on data and analysis to drive decisions, as well as a leader capable of effectively implementing solutions in an ever-evolving environment. Transformational leadership skills are essential for building team engagement and guiding quality team members in implementing key initiatives, including One Boeing Production System, Defect Reduction, and Lean Manufacturing. The candidate should demonstrate resilience and tenacity in making improvements within an established and regulated production and quality system.
Position Responsibilities:
Manages employees who evaluate and ensure that products, services and processes comply with customer contract requirements, engineering requirements, company procedures and government regulations
Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies to improve performance
Provides education and coaching on the Quality System
May make airworthiness determinations on behalf of the company and regulatory agencies
Acquires and manages resources and leads process improvements
Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, suppliers and direct reports
Manages, develops and motivates employees
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Everett, WA.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
3+ years of experience in a production-related discipline such as Manufacturing, Quality, Production Engineering, Supplier Management, and/or Supplier Quality
3+ years of experience in Quality Management System (QMS)
1 + years of experience leading teams in a formal and /or informal setting
Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
Must be able to work any shift based on the needs of the operation
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience working with AS9100 and/or similar QMS standard
Experience leading teams including cross-functional teams
Experience in root cause analysis/systematic problem solving
Ability to manage multiple teams simultaneously
Shift:
Candidate may be selected for 2nd or 3rd Shift. Shift will be determined at the time of offer.
