Job Description

The Construction/Engineering Consultant is responsible for providing consulting services for construction projects, which include but are not limited to commercial construction, residential construction, industrial construction such as refineries, Liquified Natural Gas (“LNG”) site construction, offshore, and power plant construction.

Responsibilities include:

1.     Evaluate project progress and production data;

2.     Forensic analysis of project schedules to identify critical path schedule delay;

3.     Analyze delays to critical activities in the project schedule;

4.     Provide litigation support through discovery and document research;

5.     Review scope changes, evaluation of change orders and Requests for Information (“RFIs”);

6.     Direct and indirect cost assessment of damages due to delay and/or inefficiencies in the project;

7.     Assist in generating expert report for litigation support;

8.     Detailed review of the contract responsibilities and project specifications;

9.     Review deposition and expert witness testimony; and

10.  Review various published articles related to proper methodologies for schedule analysis and damage assessment.

Qualifications

Employer requires a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Science, Construction Management or a closely related field and at least three years of work experience working with the different phases of a construction project.

In addition, the candidate must have the following:

1.     Demonstrated knowledge of Primavera software gained through at least three years of work experience;

2.     Demonstrated ability engaging in Project Data Analysis gained through at least three years of work experience; and

3.       Demonstrated ability reading and reviewing design plans gained through at least three years of work experience.

All years of experience may be gained concurrently.

10% domestic travel required per year.
