Senior Payroll Accountant

Description

We are looking for a Senior Payroll Accountant to join our Accounting Department. The Senior Payroll Accountant job responsibilities include managing and processing weekly payroll, commissions preparation and analysis, and union reporting.  Additionally, this position will assist with accounts payable. A successful Senior Payroll Accountant will have excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.

Senior Payroll Accountant:

• Prepare weekly payroll using Paylocity

• Prepare and track employee reimbursements included with weekly payroll

• Enter payroll transactions into Sage CRE accounting software

• Reconcile payroll differences between Paylocity and Sage

• Communicate payroll processes as needed

• Recommend changes and updates to the payroll process

• Collaborate with operations personnel (Account Managers, Service Manager, etc.) to tackle payroll related issues and concerns

• Analyze and process commissions payments

• Prepare, analyze and process monthly union reporting

• Assist with accounts payable as needed.

• Assist with additional ad-hoc projects as needed.

Requirements

 Senior Payroll Accountant Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in business-related field – accounting preferred.
• 2 to 3 years of payroll processing experience.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office products.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Highly organized and detail oriented.
