Horizon Industries Limited (Horizon) is a dynamic IT and Management Consulting firm based in the Washington, DC area and we are currently seeking an Applications Developer [Senior Level] for a full-time position remotely supporting the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA).
Summary of requirements:
- 5 years relevant IT experience
- Active IT-II (NACLC)
- Relevant certification from a nationally recognized technical authority
- DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification: Category IAT Level II. One of the following:
- CCNA Security
- CSA+
- GICSP
- GSEC
- Security+ CE
- SSCP
Position Description:
We are looking for an Applications Developer [Senior Level] that will:
- Develop software based on requirements developed by Business Analysts to meet the needed business solution at enterprise, large-scale level.
- All work is within the application development framework used by the organization.
- Work performed by the Application Developer is in collaboration with a Business Analyst to meet the requirement of fulfilling the client’s goals to implements the business solution.
- Proficiently execute the work using the tools and techniques implemented for the particular project.
- Work directly with Systems Architect to develop and implement new third-party applications, tools, and programming libraries to meet the business development goals of the client.
- Utilizes web-based software such as Java, HTML, .NET, AngularJS, Javascript, SOAP, REST API, mobile development, and Web Based API in the building of software applications.
Required Skills / Experience:
- Five (5) years relevant developing experience
- Experience with application programming interfaces (APIs) in order to support Low Code/No-Code Development Platform models.
- Experience using low-code/no-code business process modeling notation (BPMN) tools.
- Developing application/process automation software based on BPMN models, experience using software tools such as Appian, Salesforce, Nintex, etc. with Microsoft SQL Server databases and Microsoft .NET development environment.
- Experience in Agile and hybrid low-code application development.
- Must possess active IT-II security clearance or have a current National Agency Check with Local Agency Check and Credit Check (NACLC)
- Relevant certification from a nationally recognized technical authority
- DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification: Category IAT Level I. One of the following:
- A+ CE
- CCNA Security
- CND
- Network+ CE
- SSCP
- DLA CE Cert IA Role/Function: MuleSoft Certified Developer - Level 1. The contractor shall meet the certification requirements within 6 months after the determination is made.
Education: BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business or related discipline.
Location: Remote
Salary Range: There are various factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, education, certifications, and competencies that align with the specified role, as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position. The pay range for this position is: $130,000 - $150,000.
Task Order Overview:
The scope of this effort involves all activities necessary to provide planning, requirements analysis, installation, configuration, integration, deployment and sustainment for setting up an Artificial Intelligence (AI)/Machine Learning (ML) advanced analytics environment utilizing toolsets available in Amazon Web Services (AWS) GovCloud and other Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) products to create analytical models that will learn over time and will support in providing AI/ML advanced analytics to support DLA’s mission.
