The Microprocessor Technician reports to the department manager. Duties include but are not limited to the below. Schedule is primarily 7a-3p Mon-Fri, with flexibility required and allowed for call in, call back, or complete required job duties when equipment may be scheduled down time outside of the Mon-Fri times. Schedule flexibility is expected and non-standard work times are compensated to ensure a proper work/life balance is maintained.
General Description:
Provides technical assistance for plant’s PLC based systems. Duties include, but are not limited to, troubleshooting PLC hardware faults, troubleshooting PLC software faults, programming, SIR and AR completions.
Primary Job Functions and Work Schedule:
Provide technical support to plant machinery by maintaining and troubleshooting PLC based systems throughout the plant. Schedule is primarily 7a-3p Mon-Fri, with flexibility required and allowed for call in, call back, or complete required job duties when equipment may be scheduled down time outside of the Mon-Fri times. Schedule flexibility is expected and non-standard work times are compensated to ensure a proper work/life balance is maintained.
Required General Skills:
- Strong understanding of Ethernet, TCP/IP routing, Network packet analysis tools use and configuration.
- Strong technical and analytical skills.
- Solid experience in problem analysis and resolution of software problems.
- Proven ability to function in a self-directed environment.
- Must excel in a fast-paced, agile environment where critical thinking and strong problem-solving skills are required for success.
- Innovative thinker who is positive, proactive, and readily embraces change.
