Position Summary

• Responsible for implementing, coordinating and monitoring system wide Injury Prevention and Safe Patient Handling Programs.

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in safety, kinesiology, exercise science or other healthcare related field preferred

Licenses and Certification

• Certified Ergonomic Assessment Specialist preferred

Experience and Skills

• Safety & Training Experience: 3 years

Role Specific Responsibilities

• Designs, implements and evaluates Injury Prevention and Safe Patient Handling Programs

• Plans, implements and evaluates Safe Patient Handling and Ergonomic orientation activities

• Provides annual Safe Patient Handling and Ergonomic education & training

• Assists in development of post offer physical function testing

• Provides ergonomic assessments and appropriate recommendations.

• Assists Occupational Health & Safety Manager with case management/navigation services to injured employees

• Assists Occupational Health & Safety Manager investigate, monitor and analyze injuries and trends, as well as methods to promote and protect employee safety

• Assists Occupational Health & Safety Manager maintaining records regarding all occupational injuries and exposures as required by federal and state regulations

• Provides recommendations for loss prevention strategies and safety awareness programs

• Provides information, education and support to management and Human Resources regarding employee safety issues effecting employee job performance

Compensation (Commensurate with experience):

$58,739.20 - $91,041.60
