Job Description:

Airbus Helicopters is looking for a Senior Aircraft Electrical Technician to join our Backshop team based in Columbus, MS.

You will be part of the team to perform work in the build-up and fabrication of electrical harnesses and components for use on aircraft.

Your working environment:

On the eastern border of Mississippi you’ll find Columbus, home to our Helicopter manufacturing and assembly lines and Center of Excellence for the entire North America region. It’s here that we produce the UH-72A Lakota Helicopters for the U.S. Army in addition to the H-125 aircraft for civil and commercial customers.

Your challenges:

• Instruct and mentor less experience technicians in tasks.

• Read and follow detailed plans, diagrams and different standards in the fabrication of wire harnesses and electrical components
• Troubleshoot and rework discrepancies and faults.
• Install solder shields, splices, daisy chains and different electronic components such as resistors, capacitors and diodes etc...
• Soldering of connectors, contacts and components.
• Completing forms and records pertaining to completion of assigned work.

Your boarding pass:

• Minimum of six (6) years of aircraft electrical experience in aviation.
• Current FCC license is preferred
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English
• Familiarity with common aviation type tooling.

Citizenship:

• Must be a US Person under ITAR definition.
