As the Lead Engineer, Business Intelligence, you’ll be responsible for providing value propositions by identifying opportunities through rigorous data collection and analysis and crafting marketable and creative solutions for clients. You will create business intelligence solutions by studying informational needs, conferring with users, studying system flows, data usage and work processes, investigating problem areas, and following the development life cycle; comply with design and development standards. Travel Requirement: 0-5% travel required within North America for visiting last mile operations and clients.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Create business intelligence solutions by studying informational needs, conferring with users, studying system flows, data usage and work processes, investigating problem areas, and following the development life cycle; comply with design and development standards.
• Interview business users to understand various data elements and usage.
• Participate in development optimization for reporting tools through modeling,
• simulation, and analysis.
• Datawarehouse Design. Implement Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
• Build reporting and BI tools using Power BI & SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
• Build SSAS Tabular Cubes. Monitor ETL processes to ensure production is
• always up and running.
• Coordinate work across onshore/offshore teams.
• Travel Requirement: 0-5% travel required within North America for visiting last mile operations and clients.

 

What you need to succeed at RXO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics and Data Science, Information Systems, or closely related.
•  
• Requires two (2) years of experience as a Lead Engineer, Business Intelligence or related.
• Experience must include two (2) years post-bachelor's progressive experience in all of the following:
• Data retrieval and transformation using SQL scripting.
• ETL development in SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
• Report development in SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
• Dashboard development in Power BI.
• Data visualization skills: design and develop data visualizations to help

users understand trends and insights.

• Business/operational scenarios to design reports and dashboards to solve related business

       problems in the fields of inventory management, last mile delivery and routing systems.

• Travel Requirement: 0-5% travel required within North America for visiting last mile

       operations and clients.
