Our On-site Manager, Mission and Quality Assurance (Program Quality Lead) will support U.S. and foreign programs within the Advance Early Warning Radar Systems (AEWRS) portfolio at our El Segundo, CA location. In this role, you'll drive a robust quality culture, practices, and collaboration efforts.
As the primary quality interface for the product Integrated Product Team (IPT), you'll be responsible for ensuring the program meets all Quality & Mission Assurance requirements. This includes coordinating with functional Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and overseeing scope of work through all integrated product development phases, from design to production and sustainment. You’ll be the customer’s advocate internal to the team, ensuring we meet our obligations and expectations.
You will develop and monitor quality metrics to drive proactive continuous improvement initiatives, working closely with integrated teams to enforce process rigor. In the Program Quality role, you will oversee contract start-up, production and sell-off activities. You will primarily engage our factories and suppliers that aid the AEWRS portfolio, implement quality processes to reduce overall product lifecycle cost and risk.
You will be responsible for ensuring reviews and assessments of program performance are performed, including technical assessments of systems, lessons learned, technology, and programmatic (cost, schedule, and risks and/or defects) practices assuring Quality management System (QMS) processes are defined and implemented.
This is an on-site position in El Segundo, California.
What You Will Do:
- Engage on both strategic and tactical levels, focusing on quality, cost and schedule performance, early engagement, influencing and providing differentiating quality value to program teams and customers.
- Be the Quality POC for the assigned program, interfacing across functions in the program, key suppliers and customers supporting technical quality and financial performance, and compliance with Raytheon procedures and contractual requirements.
- Develop partnerships with senior leaders, IPTs, customers, and quality support functions of the program team to define steps necessary to implement proactive quality strategies that shape Raytheon’s ability to become the provider of choice.
- Engage on both strategic and tactical levels, focusing on quality, cost and schedule performance, early engagement, influencing and providing differentiating quality value to program teams and customers.
- Generation of new CORE (Customer Oriented Result and Excellence), CoPQ (Cost of Poor Quality) projects to reduce costs/increase efficiency of the Stinger program.
- Monitor / lead root cause corrective action (RCCA) and FRACAS activities for systemic issues and to ensure extensive RCCA.
- Oversee issue resolutions and solutions to production.
- Implement Advanced Product Quality Planning in accordance with AS9145, as applicable.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of eight (8) years of prior relevant experience or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 5 years’ experience.
- Working experience with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 Quality Management Systems.
