Associate Project Manager - Modernization

 

Your main responsibilities

As an Associate Project Manager, you will collaborate with the Project Manager to analyze, plan, and execute project activities per customer and Company specifications. This role supports in project bidding and ensures detailed follow-through to completion.

Project Support, Submittals & Close-Outs - Assist with modernization projects to ensure timely and budget-compliant close-out. Review and book projects within one week of award, alerting the Manager of any potential completion date risks and providing action plans. Facilitate the engineering submittal approval process among Schindler Engineering, architects, general contractors, consultants, and customers. Process subcontracts for internal legal review, facilitate contract changes, and ensure timely payment collection to mitigate bad debt. Ensure compliance with insurance requirements and obtain necessary tax-exempt certificates.

Financial & Change Order Support - Monitor job progress and financial performance, notifying the Manager of any delays and providing action plans. Facilitate with project scope, prepare change order paperwork, and track changes in SAP to ensure proper documentation. Ensure projects are invoiced and achieve 90% payment before elevator turnover.3. Quality, Safety & Manpower - Ensure compliance with customer and Schindler requirements for quality, performance, and passenger safety. Influence installation scheduling and manpower to meet budget commitments.

Material and Permit Coordination - Coordinate the delivery of approved submittals and materials from vendors to ensure readiness before project start. Submit required permits or certificates as mandated by local codes or authorities. 

 

What you bring

BA,BS or Construction Management degree. Relevant associate's degree.

Minimum 2 years of professional experience, preferably in a related industry.

Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Excellent communication skills.

Familiarity with SAP, Lotus Notes, and project management software like Procore preferred.

Base Salary $90,300 - $112,900
The above represents the typical salary range for this position. Revisions to the range may be considered based on your experience, education, location, demonstrated skills, and alignment with business priorities. Please note that the compensation listed reflects only base salary and does not include variable incentives or benefits
