The Category Leadership Analyst supports the Category and Sales Teams by leveraging category, customer, and market knowledge to develop data-based reporting, insights-based category selling stories, and recommendations for customer-specific strategies. 

From your EXPERTISE to ours

Key responsibilities for this position include:

• Supports the West Area Category Leadership Team and West Area Sales Team
• Develops weekly and monthly reporting to provide insights, identify opportunities and deliver solutions
• Analyzes various types of data, including retailer, syndicated, panel, and loyalty card data to identify business issues & opportunities
• Supports new item plans and retail activation
• Develops assortment, pricing, promotion, and shelving recommendations based on consumer, supplier, marketplace, and retailer assessments
• Identifies key metrics and methodology to conduct assortment analysis by category and brand
• Engages customer on shelving strategies, planogram alignment and implementation details
• Assists with the planogram development and assessment of shelf performance against objectives /strategies
• Provides input into customer category reviews, strategies, and plans
• Develops presentations for the sales team utilizing a category perspective
• Provides sales team with analytical and technical support to develop insights into issues and opportunities
• Provides appropriate skill training development to improve the capability of the team 

Requirements

Qualified applicants will contribute the following:

• Bachelor’s degree
• 2+ years consumer packaged goods industry experience
• Strong analytic / problem solving capability
• Ability to learn quickly and pivot between multiple projects
• Effective time management and communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Solid working knowledge of Circana (formerly IRI Unify)
• Ability to travel (up to 20%)
