We are developing the future of Army Aviation with the Bell Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) part of the US Army’s Future Vertical Lift (FVL) modernization effort. We are also developing the Bell 525 Relentless and Bell's High-Speed Vertical Take-Off and Landing (HSVTOL) program, a next generation stop-fold tilt-rotor. This position is onsite in Fort Worth.

Supervisor Flight Operations 

The Flight Operations Supervisor – Maintenance is responsible for overseeing the servicing, repair, and maintenance of aircraft and aircraft engines to ensure safety, compliance, and operational readiness. This role drives a safety-first culture, coordinates training for maintenance personnel, and ensures the availability of tools, equipment, and parts. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in helicopter maintenance, strong leadership skills, and a deep understanding of FAA regulations and Bell aircraft systems.

What you'll be doing as a Supervisor Flight Operations - Maintenance

  • Oversee the servicing, repair, and maintenance of aircraft and engines to ensure safety, airworthiness, and compliance with FAA regulations.
  • Drive a safety-first culture across all flight operations activities and processes.
  • Coordinate training for mechanics and technicians to ensure task qualification and certification.
  • Analyze maintenance data and collaborate with supply chain to improve procedures and resolve issues.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and ensure availability of parts by anticipating requirements and reordering.
  • Provide technical guidance and ensure proper logbook and 145 Repair Station entries within FAA guidelines.
  • Lead and manage a team of 11 or more individuals, ensuring efficient planning, scheduling, and execution of maintenance work.

     

     

    Skills you'll bring to this role

     

     

  • Knowledge of safe working techniques and procedures.
  • Expertise in aircraft systems, FAA Airworthiness Directives, and Alert Service Bulletins.
  • Proficiency in utilizing Maintenance Manuals for troubleshooting discrepancies.
  • Ability to make proper logbook and 145 Repair Station entries within FAA guidelines.
  • Experience with maintenance tracking software (CAMP) and SAP for parts acquisition and purchase orders.
  • Strong planning, scheduling, and organizational skills

 

Qualifications

 

What you need to be 

  • High school education or equivalent.
  • FAA Airframe & Power Plant License.
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a helicopter maintenance environment under a Part 145 Repair Station.
  • Knowledge of Bell models (206B, 206L, 505, 407, 429, 412, Huey II) and engines (Rolls-Royce M250-C20, C30, C47B; Pratt & Whitney PT6T-3D/3DF/-9, PW207D1).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
