Position Summary
The Recruiting Manager, United States leads the development and execution of a standardized recruiting strategy for Bilfinger North America across all U.S. entities. This role supports Bilfinger’s vision to be the partner of choice for customers by enhancing efficiency and sustainability in the process industry, ensuring the business has the talent needed to deliver safe, high-quality, reliable performance for customers.
Reporting to the Vice President, Human Resources – United States on an interim basis, and ultimately aligning with the Segment Recruitment organization, the Recruiting Manager will provide leadership for U.S. recruiting operations, including white-collar, blue-collar, skilled craft, technical, professional, project, and leadership roles. The position is responsible for building consistent recruiting practices, improving systems and processes, establishing meaningful handoffs to onboarding, and developing proactive talent pipelines that support Bilfinger’s current and future workforce needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a U.S. recruiting strategy for Bilfinger North America that supports business priorities, workforce planning, project schedules, growth objectives, and operational staffing needs across all entities.
- Lead or support cross Segment projects and work groups as and when required to enhance talent attraction processes, materials and systems.
- Lead, coach, and develop U.S. recruiting team members to deliver consistent, timely, compliant, and business-focused recruiting support.
- Standardize recruiting systems, tools, workflows, requisition intake, candidate communications, interview practices, selection documentation, and handoff points to onboarding.
- Partner with executive leadership, operations leaders, project teams, HR Business Partners, HSE, Compliance, Legal, and Finance to align recruiting priorities with business requirements and risk considerations.
- Oversee full-cycle recruiting activities for white-collar and blue-collar roles, including corporate, professional, operations, field, craft, skilled trades, technical, project, and leadership positions.
- Build proactive talent pipelines for high-demand roles in construction, maintenance, project management, safety, quality, project controls, engineering, operations leadership, skilled craft, and corporate support functions.
- Support early-career, internship, university, trade school, veteran, community workforce, and employee referral strategies that strengthen Bilfinger’s long-term talent pipeline.
- Establish recruiting metrics and reporting to track time-to-fill, requisition aging, source effectiveness, candidate flow, offer acceptance, quality indicators, recruiter workload, and hiring manager satisfaction.
- Strengthen Bilfinger’s employer brand by clearly articulating who Bilfinger is globally, who Bilfinger is in the U.S., and the long-term career value proposition for candidates.
