The Boeing Company is looking for a Software Engineer Developer (Mid-level or Experienced) to join our Phantom Works Space team in Colorado Springs, Colorado. This position will support the development of software using cutting-edge CI/CD pipeline technology.
This role will support a small team with responsibilities for development, documents, aligns requirements with deliverables. Must be able to create and establish software verification plans, test procedures and test environments, then execute test procedures and document, ensuring results align with system requirements. Serves as a subject matter expert for software domains, system-specific issues, processes, and regulations. Tracks and evaluates software team and supplier performance to ensure product and process conformance to project plans and industry standards.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the Colorado Springs, CO location.
This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active). A final U.S. Top Secret/SCI Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
- Active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance
- 3+ years of experience with Linux operating system
- 3+ years of experience working with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools (e.g., Jenkins, Gitlab CI/CD)
- 3+ years of experience with cloud-native and containerization technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker)
- 3+ years of experience with scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python)
- 3+ years of experience with Infrastructure as Code technologies (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Vagrant)
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI
- 5+ years of experience with distributed systems and microservice architectures
- 5+ years of experience with complex systems containing many integrated components
- 5+ years of experience with open-source software development experience
- 5+ years of experience with fine tuning Kubernetes and the underlying host OS for optimal performance in a low-latency environment
- 5+ years of experience troubleshooting software and network integration during platform deployments
- Proven ability to plan, schedule, and deliver quality software
- Experience and ability to support Government security requirements and best practices for software delivery involving system accreditation
Typical Education/Experience:
Level 3 – Mid-level
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g., Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g., PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Level 4 – Senior
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g., Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g., PhD
