SCOPE:

The Senior Vice President, IT Product Management and Delivery plays a pivotal role in shaping and executing the bank's technology strategy. This executive IT leader is responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of IT products, ensuring alignment with enterprise goals, and driving operational excellence across product delivery, governance, and change management. The role also includes leading and development of the Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO), IT budgeting and procurement, and strategic IT product ownership.

 

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • - Leadership and Team Management
    • Supervise, lead, mentor, and develop the Product Management and Delivery team to foster high performance and innovation.
    • Build a collaborative culture that encourages cross-functional teamwork and continuous improvement.
    • Establish clear roles, responsibilities, and performance metrics for team members.
    • Ensure succession planning and leadership development within the product management and delivery team.

 

  • - Product Strategy and Governance
    • Define and maintain a comprehensive IT product strategy aligned with business and regulatory priorities.
    • Implement governance frameworks for product lifecycle management, including intake, prioritization, and retirement.
    • Monitor product performance and ensure alignment with KPIs and strategic outcomes.
    • Facilitate executive-level product reviews and decision-making forums.
    • Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations across all product initiatives.

 

  • - Business Alignment and Change Management
    • Partner with business units to understand strategic goals and translate them into technology solutions.
    • Lead change management initiatives to support adoption of new products and processes.
    • Align product roadmaps with enterprise architecture and digital transformation efforts.
    • Manage stakeholder expectations and communication throughout the product lifecycle.
    • Identify and mitigate risks associated with product delivery and change initiatives.

 

  • - Budgeting and Procurement
    • Oversee IT product-related budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
    • Manage vendor relationships and procurement processes to ensure cost-effective solutions.
    • Evaluate ROI and total cost of ownership for technology investments.
    • Ensure transparency and accountability in financial reporting and resource allocation.
    • Collaborate with Finance and Legal teams to negotiate strong contracts and service agreements.
  • - Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO)
    • Lead the EPMO to deliver strategic projects on time, within scope, and on budget.
    • Establish project governance standards, methodologies, and tools.
    • Monitor project portfolio health and provide executive reporting on progress and risks.
    • Align project execution with enterprise priorities and resource capacity.
    • Drive continuous improvement in project delivery practices and outcomes.

 

  • - IT Product Ownership
    • Develop and lead an IT product owner framework within the organization.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders in the development of IT product ownership vision, strategy, and success metrics.
    • Provide direction that will ensure products deliver measurable business value and enhance customer experience.
    • Oversee product lifecycle activities including planning, development, launch, and optimization.
    • Champion innovation and emerging technologies that support strategic growth.
    • Develop and manage relationships with product and service vendors.
