Your Impact:
Senior Program Manager will oversee and manage a project portfolio including production throughput optimization, facility maintenance programs, and production troubleshooting.
Will be responsible for working within the customer’s manufacturing engineering process team to support customer and deliver technical expertise for the purpose of supporting equipment commissioning and launch and other operational support as necessary.
Will also be responsible for executing high quality results on a compressed delivery timeline.
Must have at least 9+ years of automotive manufacturing engineering and/or plant and operations experience, which may include but not be limited to new model manufacturing engineering, production management, maintenance management, and launch management.
Must understand production facility requirements as they relate to automotive manufacturing equipment and processes and be able to lead technical team members to support customer in commissioning and launching new assembly equipment on a compressed timeline.
- Lead the Advanced Manufacturing Services organization including Asset Management
- Hire, mentor, and develop a team of engineers and technicians, setting objectives, conducting performance reviews, and fostering a continuous improvement mindset.
- Work closely with various clients to seamlessly integrate new technologies and improve processes to meet production deliverables.
- Proactively champion Amentum Safety Culture including monthly safety observations
- Manage AMS/AMG budget and ensure high level of ability and low overhead
- Forecast workload and growth – align skillsets and partnerships to meet contract deliverables
- Drive the resolution of major program issues, providing technical support and guidance to various organizations.
- Identify, assess, and select qualified suppliers and subcontractors for process-related facilities work and installation.
- Provide Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) solutions that incorporate the Society for Maintenance and Reliability Professionals’ (SMRP) Five Pillars of Knowledge, ISO 55000 principles and maintenance best practices.
- Ensure achievement of safety, quality, cost, timing & throughput targets on all projects.
- Support all monthly operational and project reviews with metric-based updates to the management team.
- Actively look for ways to add value beyond specifically assigned scope of work.
- Challenge assumptions that are not backed up by a thorough engineering evaluation.
