YOUR IMPACT
These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned.
- Assume overall responsibility for fulfilling all service provisions outlined in the contract, dedicating focused time to the required scope of work with support from the Site Manager.
- Supervise key administrative functions including O&M Services, safety protocols, training programs, inventory management, quality assurance, use of the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), and contract administration.
- Provide daily oversight and direction to employee teams to ensure operational excellence. This includes managing personnel scheduling, work orders, safety and productivity plans, ensuring material availability, and resolving employee issues.
- Interact regularly with team members to offer support and deliver on-the-job training.
- Strive to enhance management practices, employee performance, and customer satisfaction.
- Develop and document processes to support operational activities.
- Execute duties in a safe, efficient, and timely manner while providing clear leadership to ensure service excellence.
- Attend scheduled and ad-hoc meetings, training sessions, tours, and inspections.
- Monitor systems and equipment to identify potential issues, and develop solutions for corrective maintenance.
- Review and approve expenditures for parts, supplies, materials, tools, equipment, and subcontracted work in collaboration with the Site Manager.
- Adhere to company safety programs and training requirements.
- Work productively and cohesively in a diverse, multicultural environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- 2+ years maintenance experience
- Experience working in a Supervisory capacity required.
- Strong organizational, participative management, team building, customer service and verbal & written communication skills;
- Ability to operate the CMMS database;
- Proficiency in computer skills (Word, Excel and CMMS Database);
- Valid Driver's License.
- Familiarity with Airport operations a plus.
- Computer skills, specifically with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to clearly direct, lead work tasks, and delegate assignments to peers.
- Ability to communicate professionally to customers and fellow employees.
- Ability to be badged to work in secure areas of an airport.
- Ability to work 1st, 2nd, 3rd shift including weekends and holidays.
PREFFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate degree or Technical College Certification preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of Maintenance Team Leader, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Ability to work in outside weather conditions on an airport ramp around aircrafts and the confined areas of baggage conveyor systems. Specific vision abilities required by this job include good close proximity vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Good hand / eye coordination is required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The work environment is similar to airport operation with vehicular traffic. The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, high, precarious places, outside weather conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, cold, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Employees will work on an airport ramp around aircrafts and around heavy equipment
