Maintenance Technician - Seton Home

Summary:

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for up-keeping and maintaining repairs of the agencies buildings, vehicles, grounds and equipment, and other duties as assigned by the Facilities Supervisor.

Position Responsibilities:

• *Complete work orders and process them. Work      cooperatively with staff to schedule and complete repairs.
• *Inspect all buildings and      facilities and initiate repairs as needed.
• *Follow established safety      procedures and techniques to perform job duties including lifting and      climbing.
• *Operate tools and equipment      according to established safety procedures.
• *Correct unsafe conditions in      work area and promptly report any conditions that are not immediately      correctable to supervisor.
• *Follow established procedures      for locking, checking, and safeguarding facilities.
• Conduct regular inventory of      physical equipment and supplies and maintain accurate records. Order      tools, equipment, and supplies as needed.
• *Respond to after-hours      emergency calls as needed.
• *Inspect buildings and other      structures to determine functional systems and detect malfunctions and      identify items needing repair or replacement.

Requirements

  Minimum Qualifications: 

• Education
  • High School Degree or GED equivalent preferred, but       not required. 
• Experience
  • Minimum of 1 years’ experience in maintenance or       related field. 
• License and Credentials
  • Reliable transportation
  • Valid driver license

Minimum Knowledge and Skills: 

· Minimum of 1 years’ experience in maintenance related work 

· Must be detail oriented, organized, self-motivated, work well independently and on a team;

· Must have good written and verbal skills;

· Must have good critical thinking and problem solving skills.

Travel Requirements:

Travel requirements for the position includes 50% local.
