Assistant Technical Designer, Womens

The Women’s design department is looking for a technical design assistant to join
the team at KITH. This candidate must love technical design and comes equipped with accountability, reliability and adaptability. The candidate for this role must have strong organizational and time management skills. This role is purely to support the technical design department within Women’s and
will report into the design director.

Primary Responsibilities:
● Support the technical design department for Women’s
● Steam all samples that are received daily from production or product development managers
● Set up bi-weekly fit agenda document for the tech team
● Attend all weekly fittings, taking accurate fit notes for each respective tech designer
● Take photos on fit model of all styles during the fitting to prep for comments and the fit recap document
● Build bi-weekly fit recap internal document
● Support tech designers with setting up tech pack files, as needed and as directed by manager
● Support tech team in processing comments in production, as needed and as directed by manager
● Spec carry over styles, as needed and as directed by manager
● Support processing PPS comments, and carry over styles, as needed and as directed by manager
● File, organize fit rack, and all sample racks on a daily basis
● Management of reference samples that need to be sent out, mark and tag samples, document before passing to PD or production to send to factories

Experience:
● 1+ years Technical Design experience
● Degree in Fashion Design or Product Development
● Proficient in Illustrator, Photoshop, Google docs, Google sheets

Skills:
● Extremely organized, detail oriented, and analytical
● Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

● Excellent time management skills
● Multitasking, ability to multitask and effectively prioritize workload and tasks
● Deadline oriented with ability to adhere to calendars and due dates
● Possess a natural, yet professional ease at working with and relating to the needs of employees in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
● Must be flexible to adapt to these changing business needs or special projects
● Must be able to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality where appropriate
● Must be able to work onsite 5 days a week in HQ
