Position Summary
This position provides clinical assessment, development, implementation, and leadership of clinical service as well as monitoring clinical quality for services to a specialized group of individuals served through the entire agency. This position also includes clinical supervision of this specialized service and identifying clinical innovation and trends in the provision of this service. Essential Duties and Functions
Leadership and Staff Oversight
- Provide clinical supervision to clinical staff including Clinicians, Clinical Coordinators, Clinical Managers and programmatic Clinical Directors within the service line.
Quality Assurance
- Assess current clinical programming and practice as it relates to services in specialized area.
- Ensure that services are provided in accordance with local,state,federal, and industry standards that maintains high standards of quality and integrity with RHD’s commitment to excellence.
Clinical Development
- Identify clinical trends in specialized area and collaborate with Service Line leadership to design and implement EBP/BP initiatives where appropriate.
- Assist in the development, implementation and review of education and training plans related to specialized service including the development of training curriculum and materials.
- Focus on creating a therapeutic environment that supports the individuals served and centers on harm and risk reduction.

Requirements
Qualifications
- Master’s degree or higher in psychology, social work, or human services field required
- LCSW, LISW, LCPC, LPCC, LCMHC or LMHP licensure required
- Seven to ten years of clinical experience with individuals in need of specialized services
- 3-5 years clinical supervision experience required
- Strong knowledge of DSM-V
Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with the Director on developing community relationships and linkages
- Provide clinical supervision to the Clinical Team Lead(s) and Therapeutic Coach Team Lead(s)
- Provide group clinical supervision to the Clinical Team Coordinators
- Work with the Medical Director to provide weekly clinical consult to Coordinators/Team Leads on START recipients with complex presentations
- Provide oversight and consultation on positive behavior and interaction supports
- Review START related documentation and provide clinical input
- Provide training and consultation to staff, families and providers
- Plan and facilitate monthly Clinical Education Team
- Assist START Coordinators with preparation for START Coordinator certification
- Take active clinical leadership role in team meetings
- Develop positive support and interaction plans as necessary for guests at the resource center who require more extensive safety measures
- Participate in discussion regarding potential resource center admissions
- Provide on-site consultation as needed for persons receiving START therapeutic supports
- Enter, monitor and assure data entry for all team members in the START Information Reporting System. Use data to inform programmatic decision-making.
