We are seeking a Sr. Accounting SME to support our IRS Professional Financial Management and Audit program. This position is contingent upon contract award, and if awarded we're anticipating that the role would be performed on a hybrid basis with onsite support in Washington, DC. In this role you will assist with preparing audited and pro forma statements:1) Balance Sheet2) Statement of Changes in Net Position3) Statement of Budgetary Resources4) Notes to the Financial Statements5) Required Supplementary Information6) Other Information7) Any additional statements or information required by OMB Circular A-136Assist with the preparation and/or review of recurring work paper analysis and posting models and perform variance analysis of GL accounts and financial statement line itemsAssist with the implementation of new/amended accounting standards and regulations, and new/updated business processes.Assist with documenting policies and guidance included in standard operating procedures and/or Internal Revenue Manual.Other related duties as assigned

Required Skills/Experience
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting
- Public Trust clearance
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required
- 8 plus years of experience with at least six years working with federal generally accepted accounting principles, techniques, and practices.
- Must have proven experience in SAP Federal Financial Management and Procurement software.
- Audited and unaudited financial statements compilation
- Financial reporting
Desired Skills/Experience
- IRS CFO Experience
- Knowledge of the current IRS financial management system
