The Payroll and Benefits Specialist role at Vynca offers an exciting opportunity to dive into various facets of payroll, benefits, and compliance within a dynamic, expanding company. We are seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to manage payroll processes across our expanding presence in 28 states. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for payroll and benefits, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-moving environment.
This is a fully remote position based in the U.S., but please note our core operating hours currently align with Pacific Standard Time (PST).
What you’ll do
Payroll Administration
- Review and process bi-monthly payroll in Rippling (HRIS)
- Verify the accuracy of payroll information and resolve any discrepancies
- Review employees’ wages, deductions, taxes, and other adjustments
- Assist employees with payroll-related questions or concerns
- Generate reports on payroll and benefit costs, deductions, and contributions
- Ensure compliance with garnishment orders and respond to interrogatories
- Research and gather required documents to set up required tax accounts in new states
- Research payroll tax payments and data discrepancies with federal, state, and local agencies, and work with tax agencies as well as internal staff for resolution
- Prepare payroll-related tax filings and reports as required
- Implement and maintain payroll processes
Benefits Administration
- Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance and retirement plan
- Assist employees with benefit enrollment, changes, and inquiries
- Review monthly benefit invoices for accuracy
- Verify required benefit notices, wrap documents, SPDs, are updated and distributed to all employees
- Manage leave administration process in partnership with Tilt
