Job Description:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, hiring and managing the day-to-day priorities and operations of a small team of IT professionals in a dynamic television station environment in South Florida. The ideal candidate needs to have a well-rounded background in IT and be able manage teams dealing with network, cyber security, systems, applications, and user needs as well as communicate with various business units.

Job Requirements:
The preferred Assistant CIO candidate needs to be a hands-on self-motivated professional with the ability to handle the pressure of television broadcasting, a 24 x7 business, as well as possess the interpersonal skills needed to work in a team environment. A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Sciences or related major along with at least five years’ work experience in IT and IT management. The preferred candidate needs to have experience hiring and managing employees, prioritizing work, purchasing, developing and maintaining vendor relationships. They should also have knowledge of Microsoft- business environments, operating systems and applications- along with an understanding of cyber security requirements and implementations, security assessments, network and computer infrastructure. The ability to seek, review, track and maintain support, hardware and SaaS purchases and contracts is also required. The candidate must be well organized, business savvy and have the skills to manage up.
