Join Suncorp Bank as the Executive Manager, Agribusiness & Regional (Southern), where you will play a key role in shaping the future of our Agribusiness & Regional customer segments. Leading a dynamic and passionate team, you will drive exceptional value by delivering tailored relationship propositions and connecting customers with our range of innovative banking solutions. In this pivotal role, you’ll contribute to the execution of our Business Banking strategy, focusing on both new and existing customer growth. You’ll also be instrumental in enhancing the Suncorp Bank brand and expanding our presence beyond Queensland, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction, employee engagement, and making Suncorp Bank the employer of choice in regional communities.

What will your day look like?

 

As an Executive Manager, Agribusiness & Regional (Southern), you will: 

 

• Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams, fostering a culture of learning, collaboration, accountability, and well-being, while ensuring a strong performance and risk management culture.
• Drive customer growth and market differentiation through exceptional service delivery, focusing on customer acquisition, retention, and satisfaction across Agribusiness & Regional distribution channels.
• Oversee the sales and operational performance of a diverse workforce, while simplifying and streamlining processes to deliver efficient, consistent, and high-quality customer service.
• Manage and grow the profitability of the Agribusiness & Regional customer base by designing and executing strategic business plans, managing financial drivers, and ensuring alignment with the bank’s risk appetite and profitability targets.
• Implement and maintain robust risk management systems and operational controls, proactively identifying and mitigating risks to ensure the safety and compliance of banking operations within Suncorp Bank’s risk framework.
• Strengthen Suncorp Bank’s regional presence through business development, relationship management, and strategic partnerships, while driving innovative solutions to overcome financial and operational challenges in the region.

What will you bring?

 

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:  

 

• Extensive experience in the Financial Services Industry, with a deep understanding of the Australian Agribusiness banking environment and the global dynamics influencing the Australian banking market.
• Strong leadership experience at the senior executive level, with a proven track record of driving strategies, managing large teams, and leading through change in a complex environment.
• Demonstrated thought leadership in business strategy and innovation, including the ability to synthesise large amounts of data and industry insights to design and implement effective business plans.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks, develop solutions, and make timely, effective decisions based on data-driven insights.
• Superior communication and presentation skills (both written and oral), with the ability to simplify complex issues for diverse audiences, including senior leadership, and a strong capability in influencing, negotiation, and conflict resolution.
