Position Summary:

This position is open to either our Boston or NY offices. Global Atlantic is seeking a candidate responsible for reporting and analytics of Net Investment Income and Asset values for our reinsurance entities. This candidate will support the related reinsurance investment accounting and reporting for assets ceded to external reinsurers, prepare investment disclosures to support audited financials and support BSCR reporting. This candidate will also collaborate with management, the business and IT to build out robust analytics and reporting to support the business. All candidates must, in addition to possessing the specific qualifications cited below, work well within a complex, fast-paced, fluid environment, and strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Support Bermuda Reporting and Reinsurance Business groups with Investment data and analytics
• Prepare and review month end and quarter end journal entries
• Provide monthly data analytics and data validations
• Prepare and review monthly external reinsurance trust reporting
• Perform frequent ad hoc analysis and assist with special projects, as requested
• Produce required Investment disclosure to support annual audited financials for multiple legal entities

Candidate Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA, MBA, CFA preferred.
• 7 - 10 years of relevant experience, public accounting experience a plus.
• Strong focus on process improvement and automation
• Customer service mindset
• Strong analytical skills.
• Knowledge of GAAP, Statutory and Bermuda accounting principles related to investments and asset classes with general knowledge of reinsurance accounting
• Familiarity with investment accounting systems (Clearwater) helpful. 
• Excellent computer skills, including MS Excel; data warehouse design or support a plus.
• Pro-active, detail oriented, deadline driven; possess excellent documentation and analysis skills.
• Results oriented, flexible, self-motivated, and able to work in a team environment with limited direct supervision.
• Solid written and oral communication skills.
• Proven ability to successfully handle competing priorities and multiple deliverables.

Various jurisdictions have passed pay transparency laws that require companies provide salary ranges for any positions for which they are accepting applications. Global Atlantic has offices in Atlanta, Batesville, Bermuda, Boston, Des Moines, Hartford, Indianapolis, and New York City. The base salary range posted below is inclusive of the lowest cost of living geography to the highest in which we have a Global Atlantic office. 

Global Atlantic’s base salary range is determined through an analysis of similar positions in the external labor market. Base pay is just one component of Global Atlantic’s total compensation package for employees and at times we hire outside the boundaries of the salary range.
