Description
PSA was founded with the acquisition of two large regional multi-site pain management medical practices and is executing an aggressive organic growth strategy. We require experienced professionals demonstrating related medical business experience, competent management leadership, interpersonal and communication skills required to collaborate with a corporate senior leadership team, manage a large work force via chain of command, lead/develop subordinates, work directly with medical professionals, develop and implement strategic and operating initiatives, manage multiple locations to achieve budgeted financial performance, supporting the Company’s strategic growth objectives.
The Vice President Operations (“VP”), and all PSA employees, must demonstrate an absolute commitment to excellence, professionalism, transparency, collaboration, respect, and delivery of the highest quality patient care. The VP must manage an ecosystem capable of meeting all operating, financial, regulatory, and technical requirements.
Job Summary
The VP is responsible for the day-to-day administration, via chain of command of an operating team comprised of two territory Directors of Operations and additional Practice Managers, each of the Company’s medical office locations. The VP will partner with licensed physicians and nurse practitioners while directly supervising unlicensed administrative office personnel. Primary responsibilities include market development and organic growth strategies for each clinic location, developing and managing clinic performance to operating budgets, supervising staff recruitment, training, development, and retention. The VP collaborates with the Vice President Clinical Optimization to standardize clinic staffing models, workflow design, staff training and algorithms to migrate patients, based on medical necessity, along a continuum of care from clinic-based services to advanced interventional surgical procedures performed at the company’s ambulatory surgery centers. The VP Operations is also responsible for managing support functions including facilities/real estate, procurement, and supply chain management.
With respect to the day-to-day needs of the clinics, the VP must ensure the effective and efficient performance of company’s non-licensed personnel in each of the Company’s pain management clinics, as well as the coordination of marketing and promotional activities with the Vice President of Marketing, including maintenance of relationships with referral client personnel and strategic responsibilities such as overseeing the successful development of new clinic locations (buildout, staffing, training, technology implementation, marketing and promotion); site specific budget development, operational and financial performance; business development and development of a high-performing operations management team.
In short, the VP must ensure that each PSA clinic is appropriately staffed and trained to meet or exceed the Company’s operating goals and financial performance requirements, and that administrative and operations personnel are fully supporting the Company’s licensed medical staff, whose sole responsibility is to deliver exceptional patient care and quality service.
Detailed Responsibilities
This position is responsible for daily operations, developing and implementing the structure and processes necessary to manage current activities and growth, and the development of short and long-range plans and budgets based on the company’s goals and growth objectives.
Day-to-Day Operations Management
· Ensures the operating success of all clinics including
· Maintains properly trained staff, implement standardized policies and procedures,
· Develops location-specific strategic growth plans, operating plans and associated financial budgets for each operating clinic location, direct the implementation of plans, and ensure the budgetary performance of each business unit.
· Continually evaluates the performance of each operating location, including
· Leads/develops/supervises location clinic management,
· Standardizes administrative support staffing models and operating workflows,
· Monitors patient volumes, clinic revenue and expense levels, service quality levels,
· Monitors satisfaction of licensed professionals, patients, employees, referral sources.
· Monitors adherence to policies to ensure
· Compliance with all relevant regulatory and operating requirements,
· Employee development and retention, capable management succession,
· Direct ongoing education and training of operating and clinical policies.
· Ensures clinic operations requirements are supported by MSO support infrastructure, including Clinical Optimization Services, Marketing, Human Resources,
