Job Description
The Senior Business Analyst is a highly technical resource supporting internal customer support groups. As a member of the dynamic Business Analyst group, the Senior Business Analyst is a subject matter expert in our Cognos BI Reporting tool. They must also be highly experienced in Analytics, KPI/Metrics, Data and Database Management.
The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for understanding the business needs of internal customers to help identify issues, focus on root cause analysis and propose solutions for resolution, and determining opportunities for continuous/process improvement.
The Senior Business Analyst will need a solid working knowledge of the US Bank Freight Payment software and the technical processes used to support our Large Market customers.
Additionally, the Senior Business Analyst will serve as a peer mentor and project leader for the Business Analyst Group, will manage continuous improvement projects to reduce manual/inefficient processes, and will manage communication with BI Product team, including issues and enhancements.
The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.
Will be in office 3 days out of the week Naperville Illinois
Start Date: October 20th, 2025
Schedule: 8am-5pm
Basic Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
- Typically five or more years of related experiencePreferred Skills/Experience
- Thorough knowledge of policies, plans, procedures, products and regulatory requirements for assigned business unit
- Ability to conduct an analysis of a business need, including scheduling meetings, planning agendas and conferring with business line leaders
- Strong understanding of project management and testing methodology and procedures
- Ability to develop test schedules, review testing plans, track test issues and report on test results
- Strong analytical and forecasting skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Ability to work as part of a project team
- Effective verbal and written presentation and communication skills
- Proficient computer navigation skills using a variety of software packages including Microsoft Office applications
