What You'll Do
- Simulation architecture, performance modeling framework, development and analysis
- Understand an integration of internal/external IP and analyzing system level performance
- Perform high-level performance modeling and analysis of hardware features and applications
- Work with teams to analyze/optimize and identify complex usage case scenarios and application workloads
- Create system simulation models for software development
- Create system simulation models for performance analysis/verification
- Work with teams to characterize and optimize new architectures, functions, and features
- Work with both hardware and software engineers and be able to communicate and articulate architectural proposal
- The role is flexible to be in offices in San Jose, San Diego, or Folsom, CA
What You Bring
- BS + 20 yrs experience, MS + 18 yrs experience, PhD + 15 yrs in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related field
- Strong C/C++ programming, Python, performance modeling framework, development and analysis
- Strong knowledge in system-level application and software development
- Experience in modeling architecture
- Knowledge of ARM CPU microarchitectures
- Experience in simulator and modeling development skills
- Experience in creating virtual prototype and using its tools
- Experience in programming modern parallel architectures
- Experience in data modeling and data architectures
- Self-motivated problem-solver with an ability to work well in a team.
- Expertise in C/C++ software developing skills
- Proficiencies in SystemVerilog or SystemC
- Expertise in computing architecture
- Familiarity with simulation techniques
- Familiarity with SSD/firmware algorithms and architectures
- Deep understanding of PPA (performance, power, and area) trade-offs.
- Familiarity with digital design and verification flows.
- Familiarity with SoC interconnect fabrics and their implications to HW acceleration IPs
- Deep understanding of flash memory controller architecture, and related IP design, verification, SOC implementation process and tools.
- Thorough knowledge of general computer architecture: computer/server systems, processors, storage, I/O, network, data centers, and typical applications.
- Understanding of the emerging technologies (CXL, Computation in memory and storage, Ethernet-attached SSD etc.) in server memory and storage systems
- Track record of innovation and creativity in problem solving
- Must be highly motivated with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to meet aggressive project deadlines in a team environment
- Ability to work successfully with cross-functional teams, including coordinating across organizational boundaries and geographies.

Within the base pay range, individual rates depend on a number of factors—including the role’s function and location as well as the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, education and training. This is part of our comprehensive compensation package with annual bonus eligibility and generous benefits to help you live life well.
Base Pay Range$158,400—$312,000 USD
