Job Description
- Oversee and prepare a variety of documents including county and watershed environmental plans, aquatic resource delineation reports, Clean Water Act permitting, NEPA documents, wetland mitigation site monitoring reports, water quality assessments, and biological assessment reports.
- Participate in pre-project presentations, interviews, client meetings, and agency meetings.
- Work within quality/budget/schedule expectations and scope-specific assignments.
- Work with team members to solve clients’ problems related to the environment.
- Conduct ecology fieldwork including aquatic resource delineations, floristic surveys, biological surveys, and wetland rehabilitation site monitoring.
Qualifications
- Bachelor or master’s degree in a scientific discipline (aquatic or terrestrial biology, ecology, limnology, natural resources management, water quality, soils, or zoology)
- 10 years of experience in coordinating and managing environmental projects
- Aquatic resources delineation experience (preferred)
- Proficiency with Northern Plains plant identification (wetland and prairie) (preferred)
- Expertise in water quality issues connected to the Clean Water Act
- Excellent writing and organizational skills
- Detail oriented to accurately record technical data and report writing
- Experience with various field sampling techniques
- Strong commitment to safety
- Valid driver’s license, clean MVR, experience with driving ATV/UTV.
