THE ROLE:
The Senior Director of Payor Relations will lead and expand strategic partnerships with payors—including MCOs, the VA, and other funding sources—to support 24 Hour Home Care’s growth and long-term impact across California. This is a highly commercial, field-based, customer-facing role requiring strong influence, negotiation, and executive-level communication skills.
This role is accountable for expanding market access, strengthening reimbursement structures, and positioning 24 Hour Home Care as a trusted, high-value partner. By aligning payor relationships with shared priorities, you will help ensure more individuals and communities have access to high-quality, life-enhancing services.
You will work cross-functionally to streamline operations, align services with payor needs, and ensure compliance with key programs including (but not limited to) Medi-Cal, CalAIM, and VA requirements. Your leadership will directly enable sustainable, quality-driven expansion by securing favorable policies, contract terms, and rates that support organizational strategy.
Strategic Partnerships & Influence:

Lead and grow strategic, field-based relationships with payors—including MCOs, the VA, and other funding entities—to position the organization as a proactive, solutions-oriented partner.

Influence payor strategy, policy, and program design in collaboration with Government Relations, ensuring 24 Hour Home Care is viewed as a thought partner—not just a provider.

Represent the organization in external forums, workgroups, governance bodies, and board-level discussions (e.g., Medi-Cal, CalAIM, VA), synthesizing insights and effectively influencing outcomes.

Serve as the primary escalation point for payor relationship and contract issues, ensuring timely and strategic resolution.

Proactively identify and mitigate risks related to payor relationships, contracts, and policy changes.
