Description

  • Maintain a clean kitchen, properly wash, and sort soiled dishes, and prep food as needed. Keep dish area free of clutter and well organized.
  • Set up dish stations, including dish machines and sinks.
  • Maintain clean/dry floors throughout scheduled shift.
  • Properly wash, stack, and store China, glassware, silverware, cookware, and storage containers.
  • Change water in machines and sinks every two hours, or more often as required by business levels, and properly use chemical dilutions set by EcoLab.
  • Assist in the timely storing of food deliveries.
  • Maintain trash cans throughout shift and remove full trashcans and boxes at the end of each shift.
  • Maintain the dry storage area and the organization of storage shelves.
  • Follow the posted daily dish cleaning duties.
  • Assist in food prep and any other duties set forth or requested by the chef as needed.
  • Assist in cleaning of service, dining, and pantry areas
  • Complete all other account specified needs under the direction of the assigned kitchen lead.
  • Must be able to read labels on chemicals.
  • Knowledge of workplace safety procedures.
  • Ability to maintain professional demeanor in high-stress situations.

Qualifications

Educational and Experience Requirements:

 

  1. No prior experience needed.  On-the-job training provided.
  2. Must have adequate reading abilities to read and understand diet cards, special diet menus, and other food service procedures.

 

 

Other Requirements:

 

  1. Must be able to deal tactfully with staff, residents and visitors.
  2. Must be able to follow written instructions.
  3. Must maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, and appearance of work areas for regular inspection of food service areas for sanitation, safety, and proper performance of assigned duties.
  4. Must maintain confidentiality of resident information.
  5. Must attend required training and education sessions offered by the facility.
  6. Will be required to lift, push, pull, and move equipment, supplies, etc., in excess of fifty pounds with a team member or by self throughout the workday.
  7. Must obtain a Food Handlers Card within one month of hire date.
