What you get to do:
- Receive shipments, verify invoices and enter product information into computer based program
- Load and unload vendor trucks by utilizing proper lifting procedures
- Deliver orders to assigned locations
- Read and pull orders of selected products for next day delivery
- Price items and inspect products for quality, temperature and expiration
- Adhere to all company inventory procedures at all times
- Date, rotate and put stock away while following FIFO guidelines
- Use proper handling to stock items and package orders
- Accurately count products to ensure correct inventory
- Keep all assigned areas clean, including emptying trash, sweeping and mopping
- Perform other duties as assigned
What it takes to succeed:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous warehouse experience preferred
- Previous forklift experience preferred
- Ability to train for and pass forklift certification preferred
- Basic math skills preferred
- Must be comfortable and able to work with all food types, including food allergens in any dining facility (Culinary only)
- Must have a valid state driver's license
- Must be able to stand for entire shift and be able to walk and move freely around work areas
- Must be able to bend, reach, grasp, twist, and turn with complete flexibility
- Must be able to work in a team environment and independently with little to no supervision
- Must be able to communicate effectively with team members and leadership
- Must be able to maintain accuracy with attention to detail while multitasking
- Must be able to operate manual and electric machinery
- Must be comfortable learning computer-based programs (General Receiving only)
- Must be able to pass Safe Staff Certification (Culinary only)
- Must be able to climb a ladders to heights up to 12 feet
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to push/pull/manipulate a rolling pallet jack with weights up to 1200 pounds
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted; 90 pounds with assistance
- Must be comfortable working around fumes/dust/odor
- Must be comfortable working at heights
- Must be able to move freely around work areas
- Must be able to work indoors with or without A/C and outdoors in all weather conditions and temperature extremes
- Must be available to work varying shifts/hours based on business need, to include opening as early as 3:00am, and closing; weekends and holidays
