Warehouse Ambassador

What you get to do:

• Receive shipments, verify invoices and enter product information into computer based program
• Load and unload vendor trucks by utilizing proper lifting procedures
• Deliver orders to assigned locations
• Read and pull orders of selected products for next day delivery
• Price items and inspect products for quality, temperature and expiration
• Adhere to all company inventory procedures at all times
• Date, rotate and put stock away while following FIFO guidelines
• Use proper handling to stock items and package orders
• Accurately count products to ensure correct inventory
• Keep all assigned areas clean, including emptying trash, sweeping and mopping
• Perform other duties as assigned

What it takes to succeed:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous warehouse experience preferred
• Previous forklift experience preferred
• Ability to train for and pass forklift certification preferred
• Basic math skills preferred
• Must be comfortable and able to work with all food types, including food allergens in any dining facility (Culinary only)
• Must have a valid state driver's license
• Must be able to stand for entire shift and be able to walk and move freely around work areas
• Must be able to bend, reach, grasp, twist, and turn with complete flexibility
• Must be able to work in a team environment and independently with little to no supervision
• Must be able to communicate effectively with team members and leadership
• Must be able to maintain accuracy with attention to detail while multitasking
• Must be able to operate manual and electric machinery
• Must be comfortable learning computer-based programs (General Receiving only)
• Must be able to pass Safe Staff Certification (Culinary only)
• Must be able to climb a ladders to heights up to 12 feet
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time
• Must be able to push/pull/manipulate a rolling pallet jack with weights up to 1200 pounds
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted; 90 pounds with assistance
• Must be comfortable working around fumes/dust/odor
• Must be comfortable working at heights
• Must be able to move freely around work areas
• Must be able to work indoors with or without A/C and outdoors in all weather conditions and temperature extremes
• Must be available to work varying shifts/hours based on business need, to include opening as early as 3:00am, and closing; weekends and holidays
