Position Overview:

As a Pharmacist at CaryRx, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional pharmacy services within our digital healthcare ecosystem. Your expertise in pharmaceutical care, combined with your commitment to maintaining valid and up-to-date pharmacist licenses in specific states, including Alabama, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, and West Virginia, will be crucial. You will be responsible for processing and accurately filling prescriptions, conducting quality checks on prescription orders, and providing invaluable counseling to patients regarding their medications. Your attention to detail, positive attitude, and proactive approach to pharmacy upkeep, aligned with DC pharmacy laws, will contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our operations. Additionally, your collaboration with our interdisciplinary team will help refine internal workflows and ensure an outstanding experience for our patients.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Processing and Filling Prescriptions:
    • Utilize our proprietary platforms to accurately process and fulfill prescription orders, adhering to state and federal regulations.
  • Quality Assurance of Prescription Orders:
    • Conduct rigorous quality checks on prescription orders to ensure precision, safety, and compliance with established standards.
  • Patient Counseling:
    • Offer comprehensive counseling to patients, ensuring they have a thorough understanding of their prescriptions and how to manage them effectively.
  • Pharmacy Operations and Management:
    • Oversee inventory, prescription deliveries, and courier management, maintaining an organized and efficient pharmacy workflow.
  • Collaborative Teamwork:
    • Actively collaborate with a diverse team to enhance internal workflows and contribute to the continuous improvement of our platform.
  • Adverse Event Reporting:
    • Report adverse drug events and medication errors promptly, following established protocols to contribute to patient safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Customer Issue Resolution:
    • Address and resolve customer concerns, complaints, and inquiries regarding their prescriptions or pharmacy services in a timely and empathetic manner.
  • Infection Control and Safety Compliance:
    • Adhere to infection control protocols and safety standards within the pharmacy, ensuring a safe environment for both staff and patients.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
    • Maintain a strong understanding of federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to pharmacy practice, ensuring full compliance and adherence in all pharmacy operations

Requirements

  • 3+ years of retail experience as a pharmacist.
  • Offer exceptional customer service.
  • Friendly team player with a positive attitude.
  • Ability to solve problems and anticipate the needs of our patients.
  • Licensed in DC as a certified pharmacist.
  • Experienced in a community pharmacy with ability to multitask (preferred).
  • Willing to learn and be flexible.
  • Competent ability to use computers and mobile apps.
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States to be eligible to apply for this position.
